There's a huge variety of meet ups on offer at Harbour Magic. We've already delivered over 100 events in our first year.
We have a regular book group, discussion group and cinema group, as well as a whole range of monthly activities such as walking, foodie meet ups and plenty to do both on and off the water.
Do take a look at the sample calendar below to give you an idea what we have on offer. Once you join, you will have access to the real time calendar of events. Enjoy!
A stroll along the path which follows the shoreline at Itchenor, then we head inland and across farmland for a while and back to the shore for the final leg. Great views of the harbour and finishing with a stop at The Quarterdeck for a marvellous array of refreshments.
Break up the week and get together - join in with our monthly book group. Held on the first Tuesday of the month at a central location. Great discussions over a glass of beer or wine. New book chosen, democratically of course, each month!
One of our most popular events! Join me for breakfast at this fantastic location overlooking Chichester Harbour. All you need to do is decide beforehand on your breakfast choice (from £5 to £7) , so that I can give the chef the heads up the night before.
Watch the chef demonstrate cooking methods for a 3 course Indian meal. Learn how to prepare spices, cooking techniques and hints and tips. We will sit down at the end in the Restaurant where the full 3 course meal will be served for us to enjoy! The chef will also give you a goodie bag
As the weather is still nice and warm let's do a Meet Up and Eat Up BBQ on the beach before Autumn hits. Bring a bbq, bring food, bring drinks, bring yourselves! This is very much a DIY event, where we all get together to chat, and have some fun. I will bring a set of boules for those that fancy a game.
Be part of the country set for the day! Tuition is included and you get the chance to shoot 50 clays deep in the heart of Petworth. Then, head back to a local pub for a warming two course lunch to discuss your near misses.
Three Autumn treats in one. People travel miles to see this amazing display of pumpkins and it's right on our doorstep. Let's do a walk, a visit to the pumpkins and follow up with some treats at the fantastic local community cafe.
A lovely walk through the trees with your very own Alpaca by your side, up to a viewpoint where you can appreciate the views together :)
Such curious animals, Alpacas are largely confident and enjoy meeting people - or so I'm told.
A really unique experience with a real character! A day's pottery workshop for beginners or experienced potters alike, led by our local man from the BBC Series, the Great Pottery Throw Down. Held in his quirky workshop at the end of his garden.
An unforgettable chance to see the Harbour Seals. There is a colony of over 40 seals in the Harbour, so climb aboard for a true adventure. The journey will give you the chance to watch the seals close up - so don't forget to bring your cameras!
Petworth Park is stunning. For this month's "meet up and eat up" event I thought we could all bring a sharing platter and picnic under the trees down by the lake. Bring a chair or a rug and I will bring along the croquet set for those who fancy a try! There are also some lovely walks around the park.
Starting at the public slipway in Itchenor, we will take a leisurely paddle up to the Crown and Anchor at Dell Quay. What better way to arrive for lunch! The trip will be fully guided - you can paddle alone or with a friend in a double if preferred.
Don't like going to the cinema on your own? Group visits organised to see the latest films either at Cineworld or Chichester Cinema at New Park. Buy your tickets directly and meet afterwards for a drink and chat.
A private Paella Party for members at this friendly, vibrant venue in South Street, Chichester. Authentic Spanish food is what the chef does - and he is doing it for us! We will have exclusive use of the upstairs at Artie's .
A great little spot for a relaxed Sunday lunch. "The Deck" has beautiful views over Emsworth Yacht Marina. .The restaurant is indoors but with an outdoor veranda, overlooking the yachts and the harbour, so if it's a nice warm day - that's where we'll be! Lunch costs vary from £5 upwards.
A midweek daytime event at one of the cafes around the harbour or in town. Pick a hot topic to discuss, put the world to rights, or just chill out with some relaxed conversation - it's entirely up to you on the day.
Another pub, another quiz. This time we are going to one of the cosiest pubs around. Teams of six needed for this fun quiz on Thursday night. Food and snacks available if you wish. Starting at 8pm sharp.
Classic yachts, classic cars, live music and a hog roast. There's something for everyone at this pretty little marina. Let's meet up for drinks and refreshments and just have some chill out time.
